Creating a beautiful, calming environment can add a great deal to a patient’s overall comfort and recovery. The newly completed Mayo 16 Pediatric Center took this idea to heart with its beautifully detailed design. Grazzini installed colorful Custom Glass Tile Patterns in patient exam rooms using a gradient color pattern. This same design was carried onto the curved walls of the lobby. The Glass Tile was enhanced with the installation of 300 tiles that were hand-painted by Mayo patients. In addition to tile, the elevator lobby area features large marble slabs that were engraved by Grazzini with images of wildlife relevant to the state of Minnesota.
