Transforming an architect’s design into reality can be difficult, but Grazzini craftsmen have the knowledge and expertise to make it happen. The Bloomington City Hall is an excellent example of this. As a public facility, the flooring has to withstand a great deal of use, but the architect also wanted it to be a statement of natural beauty. By working closely with Grazzini Brothers, a design was developed through the use of slate. Each piece had to be carefully selected and set to communicate the architect’s vision. Through the use of color shades and shapes, the desired effect was achieved. When observed from above, an artistic view of the Minnesota River emerges.
